React Native and Flutter are so-called “cross-platform” frameworks that allow you to write mobile applications with a single code base but also a common UI. This approach works well for most projects, but can reach its limits on certain types of applications (multimedia content, background operation, etc.) as well as for the most complex products. That's why many of the most popular apps in stores are written directly for iOS and Android. This makes it possible to rely on teams specialized in each platform and to fully exploit the possibilities offered by iOS and Android. KMM makes it possible to take advantage of all these possibilities while reducing the amount of code to write for each application.

On our projects, we promote dual expertise between Kotlin and Swift as much as possible for our developers. This has several advantages:

Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM) is a set of tools that allows you to create libraries written in Kotlin and that run natively on iOS and Android. In this way, you can share a significant part of the source code between 2 native iOS and Android applications.

Swift UI and Jetpack Compose are libraries that allow you to implement graphical interfaces for iOS and Android respectively. Of fairly similar designs, they are based on the declarative programming paradigm, which simplifies the management of complex states that are often sources of bugs in interfaces. The product code is also more concise and easier to read.
